The KO of Tawanchai PK Saenchai’s “No Mercy” on Sean Clancy was so easy it was almost annoying.
The world Muay Thai featherweight champion is expected to take the podium on August 4 in his ONE Championship kickboxing debut to establish himself as the new king of the sport’s featherweight division.
As promised, Tawanchai is looking to climb the rankings one fight at a time for a chance to fight for the ONE featherweight kickboxing title. The first man on his setlist is Davit Kiria from Georgia in ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs. Grigorian on Prime Video.
However, before you watch the 24-year-old sensation in full action this summer, remember one of the most talked-about debuts in Muay Thai history: Tawanchai vs. Shawn Clancy’s One: Dangal.
The rising Thai star had yet to make a name for himself on the world stage at the time. However, he came to a solid reputation after winning several “Fighter of the Year” awards in highly prestigious competitions in Thailand.
