Meanwhile, Sasikumar and Samuthirakani release a video thanking people for making Subramaniapuram a classic. Sasikumar said, “It feels like it was yesterday, but it’s been 15 years since Subramanyapuram was released. When the film was released, people celebrated the film and carried it not on their shoulders but on their heads. I will never forget the support I received for the film. I am here because of the film and the support I received From everyone. I thank everyone for that.”
Samuthirkani said, “The days are moving fast forward. Already 15 years have passed. Subramaniapuram…the film that made me an actor, the film that made Sasikumar an actor. It gave the title to many actors and crew members of the film. After all these years, the film still stands tall without being It loses a tiny drop of its intensity. Sasi is currently preparing for another film, which will be even better than Subramanipuram.”
Subramaniapuram is an action drama about a gang of friends from a rural area of Madurai. For the sake of friendship and love, the gang ends up becoming murderers. It is a heartbreaking story of love and betrayal that stunned audiences. Set in the 1980s, the film remains one of the well-made historical films in Tamil cinema.
