Mass Shooting In Philadelphia, Baltimore and Fort Worth it took the lives of 10 people before the Fourth of July holiday, officials said, in a grim example of the US’s decades-old failure to curb gun violence.

It was not immediately clear what motivated the three shootings.
Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said her force had arrested a 40-year-old suspect and “we have absolutely no idea why this happened,” she told a late-night news conference.
Police in Fort Worth said no arrests were made.
“We don’t know if this is insider related, if it is gang related. It’s too early to tell at this point,” said Sean Murray, a senior police official.
Police said they are looking for multiple suspects in the Baltimore shooting.
The most recent shooting took place near the anniversary last year Highland Park Mass shooting near Chicago in which seven people were killed and 48 wounded at an Independence Day parade. A 22-year-old man remains in custody after being charged with 117 felonies for the massacre.
The United States grapples with a high number of mass shootings and incidents of gun violence. There have been more than 340 mass shootings so far in 2023 in the country, according to data collected by the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as an incident in which at least four people were shot, excluding the shooter.
