According to the Superintendent of Police, OP Singh, the bodies were found on Kakrala Nauli Road. The two women are about 35 years old

Police said the half-burnt bodies of two women wrapped in plastic bags were found dumped on the roadside in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

Their faces were burned beyond recognition. They said it appeared the two women had been killed and the bodies dumped.

Local residents of Bachi Jagrao village on Tuesday evening saw the dead bodies and alerted the police.

According to the Superintendent of Police, OP Singh, the bodies were found on Kakrala Nauli Road. The two women are about 35 years old.

It seemed, he said, that to conceal the identity of the women, their faces were burned, and the bodies wrapped in polythene and thrown by the roadside.

He said a committee of doctors had sent the bodies for autopsies, adding that efforts are underway to identify them and further action will be taken through case registration.
