According to RAC1, Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has been offered the chance to join Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami. Iniesta last played for J-League club Vissel Kobe. He is currently without a club and the Barcelona legend could join Messi and Busquets at the next Inter Miami.

Messi announced last month that he will start a new journey in the upcoming NBA. Inter Miami also announced the signing of Busquets, and Iniesta could be another addition to the club.

The midfield maestro recently shared his opinion on Lionel Messi not returning to Barcelona. Busquets told DAZN:

“It would have been great, particular to what you mean, but in the end everyone is looking for the best option, what they think will be good for them, and from there, maybe they will have a different experience than they had before. If that is what he aspires to and what he wants I’m sure he’ll go well, as he’s done well in all the places he’s been.”

Inter Miami has also been linked to several other superstar names. They were reportedly courting Jordi Alba and Sergio Ramos. Both Spaniards are currently free agents. Alba played his last game with Barcelona while Ramos actually played his last game with Paris Saint-Germain (Paris Saint-Germain).

Jorge Mas has made an optimistic claim about Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami

Inter Miami made a statement by securing the signing of Lionel Messi. The Argentina captain is without a doubt the biggest star to grace the NBA. With the 2023 Copa América, 2025 Club World Cup, and 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, American football may be on the rise.

Thus, MLS could gain prominence as well. The billionaire co-owner of Inter Miami, Jorge Mas, believes that Lionel Messi will turn the league into one of the top three leagues in the world. He told El Pais:

“In 2019, we started thinking about how we can bring him (to the club). Messi can turn MLS into the second or third best league in the world. I think he will want to make his mark, and he will be able to do that outside of football.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo, David Villa and more have played in Major League Soccer before. The arrival of Lionel Messi should help the league thrive to a new level of popularity.
