Judgment Day hasn’t had the easiest of times lately, upsetting Dominic Mysterio and Rhea Ripley. There was tension running high between Finn Balor and Damien Priest, one that cost them both opportunities. But there have actually been a few hints dropped recently that might have been easter eggs about a possible split.
Finn Balor has been unhappy with the initiative Damien Priest has shown in recent months and his apparent desire not to need the group’s support. On top of that, he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, giving him a shot at the world title that Balor clearly wanted.
During the Balor Money in the Bank match, Priest stood as if he was going to cash in the briefcase, causing Seth Rollins enough distraction to win. In contrast, Bálor appeared to spoil Priest’s actual opportunity to cash in the briefcase this week on RAW.
But there may have been a hint of the band’s downfall that most fans missed. Prior to Money in the Bank, the group was photographed recreating the iconic Abbey Road image of the Beatles.
A fact fans may have missed, but this was the last album the group recorded together. It was released in 1969. Although 1970 saw the release of their last album, Let it Be, by the time this album was released the group had already broken up and some songs had to be recorded separately.
Plus, at a live event, Rhea Ripley dressed up as John Lennon.
Whether or not this means Money in the Bank could be their last event together as a group remains to be seen. By that logic, by the time the next event, SummerSlam, arrived, Judgment Day had disbanded. Given the tension on set, that’s not entirely impossible at this time.
It should be noted that this is complete speculation at this time, but even if it were, the coincidence level is pretty high for something like this.
Rhea Ripley and Dominic Mysterio were left in distress because of their compatriots at Judgment Day
As previously mentioned, Bálor spoiled Priest’s attempt to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase this week on RAW.
It just led to Dominic Mysterio being the one to take the punishment, as he was knocked out by Rollins in the midst of the chaos. In the end, Rhea Ripley was left holding Dominic’s head.
Meanwhile, the other two doomsday stars were staring daggers at each other. There doesn’t seem to be any love missing out there at this time.
