Former WWE superstar EC3 recently opened up about the insane booking decisions in wrestling that often take casual viewers by surprise.
The Attitude Era was filled with erotic clips that pushed the boundaries of permissible content on television. These segments pushed the ratings through the company’s roof. However, they attracted a lot of criticism from other sections of the people who did not understand or enjoy wrestling as much.
this week Wrestling OutlawsEC3 talked about professional wrestling that non-wrestling fans didn’t see in a good light. He claimed he always tried to explain why wrestling was cool but people would talk about a crazy part behind the scenes. He mentioned about Vince McMahon clips where the boss can be seen making out with a blonde starlet while his wife, Linda McMahon, watches helplessly.
“You know you’re watching a great match or a great promo and there’s no one in the room with you. Then somebody walks in, the clip goes backstage and there’s a 60-year-old man making out with a 25-year-old blonde in front of his comatose wife. They say, “Is this what you want to do?” But you missed it… No one who doesn’t know wrestling and sees wrestling in a good light hasn’t entered and why I loved it.” (from 7:40 – 8:18)

This week, SmackDown originated from the world-famous Madison Square Garden. The show had a card packed event with top stars from the blue brand including WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns appearing.
Choose a fight I mentioned that the CEO was backstage during those tapings and watched the entire show from his office.
“Vince McMahon was at WWE Smackdown, which was expected by most of the crew. He spent the day in his office.”
There was no comment on McMahon’s involvement in the show’s creative process. The 77-year-old is back in the mix after WWE announced its merger with Endeavor, the parent company that owns the UFC.
