Madison Keys has stated that Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badusa made her a little bit jealous when she looked at her relationship with her fiancé Bjorn Fratangelo.
Fratangelo is an American professional tennis player who turned professional in 2012 and achieved a high-ranking world ranking of No. 99 in 2016. He has been in a relationship with Keys since 2017 and the couple is currently engaged.
On the other hand, Tsitsipas and Badusa are the newest pair in the world of tennis. They have recently made their relationship public and have been sharing their life very actively on social media.
When asked about her thoughts on Tsitsipas and Badosa, Keys mentioned that she and Fratangelo were enjoying their time together before adding that she was jealous of the number of photos the new couple had with each other.
“I think their content was a lot more organized than Bjorn and I. They pumped out a lot more than we’ve had in six years. So I’m honestly a little jealous, Bjorn and I have almost no pictures together and it seems like that’s not a problem for them, which is great,” she told the Tennis Channel.
“I’ve been enjoying that and I’m kinda upset that they don’t play mixed doubles here. I’m sure we’ll see more of them around,” she added.
While Tsitsipas and Badosa went so far as to create a joint Instagram account, Keys ruled out following in their footsteps.
“No, we (Bjorn and I) won’t (have an Instagram page together). No, we’re so private that people keep asking if we’re still together.”
With Keys and Bjorn announcing their engagement earlier this year, she stated that wedding planning was going well, though not in a rush.
“It (wedding planning) went really well. It didn’t take long, so we have plenty of time, and we’re not in a rush. So I didn’t have to make a lot of decisions, which was great.”
Madison Keys to Wimbledon 3R, to face Marta Kostyuk next
On the tennis front, Madison Keys is currently competing in the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. She beat Sonay Kartal in straight sets in her opening match on SW19.
Keys faced Victoria Golubic in the second round on Friday and came back again in straight sets, winning 7-5, 6-3. She won all 17 of her first serve points in the first set and converted a third set point to take the match lead.
Then the American broke Golubic in the sixth game of the next set, took a 5-2 lead, and closed out the match shortly after.
Keys will next face unseeded Marta Kostyuk, who advanced to the third round after Paula Badosa retired from her match when she was trailing 6-2, 1-0.
