On Friday around 6 pm, a PCR call was received at Mandir Marg Police Station that two canaries had been hit by a car, said a senior police officer.
Police said on Saturday that two canaries sustained minor bruises after they were hit by a car on Ridge Road in central Delhi.

It appeared on the surface that an unknown car hit the two canaries from behind. They fell to the ground as a result of the collision and sustained minor injuries. The officer said they were taken to RML Hospital.
Both were evaluated by doctors in an emergency situation and found to be fine. They had minor bruises on their knees and hands. After first aid, they were discharged. The police said they proceeded to Kanwar Yatra after that.
They added that an FIR has been registered and a search is underway for the vehicle.
