What: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Indian Women’s Network Annual Session “Kaya Swarup, The Voice Within” will feature Kathak Concert by Dr. Sameera Kosur.
Sameera holds a PhD in Psychology and Dance from the University of Punjab, works in the field of Applied Kathak and believes that all arts should have a purpose, should uplift and elevate humanity and be useful in building a healthy, prosperous and cultured society. .
She received her initial training in dance from Guru Kanhiya Lal, rector of Jaipur gharana, and later from kathak exponent Guru Shobha Koser.
“Kaya Swarup is a dance piece that depicts a philosophy of life that says we spend our whole lives running after worldly pleasures, our physical beauty forgetting and undermining our true selves and our inner beauty which is the main treasure of human life. So we should stop for a while, think about it, and beautify our souls before it is too late It’s too late,” Samira explains.
