After creating a buzz with multiple stickers, the makers of the Oh my god 2 She has released a new video which shows the detailed look of lead actor Akshay Kumar. The teaser for the movie will be released on July 11. OMG 2 is the sequel to the 2012 hit movie Oh My God, which also starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
In the recently released video, Akshay Kumar is seen challenging his inner Shiva while wearing a black outfit and sporting a hair bun. Long curly hair and wide-set eyes with ash smeared across his forehead complete his look. The video depicts Akshay walking through a cheering crowd. The background music “Har Har Mahadev” sets the tone for the movie. The actor took to social media to share the video, writing, “#OMG2Teaser July 11th. #OMG2 in theaters August 11th.”

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also features actors Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in prominent roles. The filmmakers had previously released multiple posters, which revealed their appearance in the film.

Whereas the original Oh My God movie explored the theme of faith and religion, Oh My God 2 will shed light on a social challenge. In his earlier tweet, Akshay Kumar revealed that the new film is an “honest attempt to talk about an important social issue”. He wrote, “I need your blessings and wishes for #OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. May Adeuge’s eternal energy bless us through this journey.”
OMG 2 is also an important film for Akshay Kumar in terms of box office collection. His previous projects received a lukewarm response from the audience and did not do well at the box office. They include Selvi, Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu and Samrat Prithviraj.
OMG 2 is set to hit theaters on August 11 and will clash with Rajinikanth’s Jailer, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2.
