Robbie Lawler Talks Possible Naked Fight Move

An emerging trend among UFC fighters after retirement or their stints in the UFC is to transition to bare-knuckle boxing or fighting. Many high-profile names, including former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, and former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, have tried their hand at naked fighting lately.

With his retirement announced, Lawler was asked during the UFC 290 post-fight press conference if he would consider switching to naked fighting. Lawler said:

“No… no, I’m training. I’m just retired. I’m always going to work, I’m always going to be in shape. It’s just who I am. I’m just going to be coaching and giving back to the other, guys who want to compete at a high level, I’m going to help them do that.”
