Edge is in the twenty-fifth year of his WWE career. The Hall of Famer recently hinted at the huge celebrations, which will also likely see him go to RAW and NXT.
The WWE Hall of Famer returned to SmackDown this past Friday in front of a packed crowd at Madison Square Garden. He was the special guest during The Grayson Waller Effect, where Waller got ahead of himself and announced Edge’s retirement.
The R-rated Superstar then faced off against Grayson Waller that same night on SmackDown. He defeated the Australian in a highly acclaimed match.
Then the Hall of Famer revealed on SmackDown LowDown that he might take home the 25th anniversary celebrations of both RAW and NXT.
“For me, it’s crazy,” Edge said. “25 years here, to go on this long, if you told me at the beginning of all this it would be like, I’m going to party in Madison Square Garden, next month I’m going to Toronto. Hell, I could go to Monday Night Raw and party. I could go to NXT and party.” I can go back to SmackDown and celebrate. All I know is this month, I’m going to have the time.” (Erosion BodySlam.net)
Grayson Waller made his main roster debut on SmackDown last Friday against Edge. Waller made a valiant effort against the WWE legend but ultimately fell short.
After the match, Edge put the Australian star down by telling him he “swim” during the match. It was a nice rub from the Hall of Famer making Waller look better. Waller has been in the spotlight since he was drafted to SmackDown, where he has worked with legends like John Cena, AJ Styles, and Edge.
Edge’s future remains uncertain with speculation mounting regarding his retirement. He hinted at the same thing in an interview with Ovarian report last year. Many have wondered if WWE going to Toronto next month could see the Hall of Famer hang his boots in his home country. It remains to be seen how things will turn out.
