Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has shared his thoughts on Harry Kane’s future at the club, amid reports of offers from Bayern Munich for the striker.

As quoted by the expert Fabricius RomanBayern made a second offer of 70 million euros + 10 million euros in additions for the England captain. The offer is likely to be rejected.

Kane only has a year left on his Tottenham contract and speculation about his future has been overwhelming during this transfer window. Amidst all this, Ange Postecoglou offered his thoughts on the situation in his first press conference as Tottenham chairman.

He insisted he wanted the England player at the club and also shared his potential conversation with the striker when he returns to training this week. Postecoglou said (trans Football London journalist Alasdair Gould):

“I don’t think it’s my role to sit there and treat people somehow because of their circumstances. I treat everyone the same. Harry is really an important figure in the history of this football club. He’s one of the best players in the world. I want him here and I want to make this club a success. I’m sure.” That he wants that too.”

he added:

“It’s not going to be a conversation where we come to some kind of understanding. I just want to introduce myself and I want to know what he wants to happen to make this football club a success, then we’ll go to the training ground and make it happen.”

The 29-year-old is also England’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 58 goals. Captain of the team that reached the final of UEFA Euro 2021 and won the Golden Boot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup with six goals.

Kane is also just 47 goals behind Alan Shearer on the Premier League’s all-time top scorers list.
