In a statement issued on Wednesday, he accused the Jahlut government of betraying the farmers by forfeiting their loans, and that they would avenge the betrayal by organizing a large “Girao” on Wednesday against the government.
Rajasthan’s Bharatiya Janata Party chief CP Joshi on Monday said the party has taken the decision to stage a massive demonstration against the Congress-led state government over corruption and breach of law and order.
Speaking to reporters after the party’s two-day Vijay Chintan camp in Sawamadupur, Joshi said, “The BJP has decided to organize a mass protest against the misrule, corruption of the Congress government in the state.” He said the party prepared an action plan on various topics during the two-day camp, during which eight sessions were held in total.
Our fight against appeasement and dynastic politics will continue in Congress. In the Vijay Sankalp meeting, it was resolved to overthrow the Congress government and bring in a developmental BJP government,” Joshi said.
He alleged that the Gehlot government deceived the farmers in the name of forfeiting the loan and they will avenge the betrayal by organizing a grand ‘gherao’ against the government in Jhunjhunu on Wednesday.
On July 18, in Ajmer, party workers will hold a protest outside the Rajasthan Public Service Commission office.
The assembly’s opposition leader, Rajendra Rathore, said the assembly session would start on July 14, and the party plans to grill the government on various issues every day.
BJP National Spokesperson Colonel Rajavardhan Singh said the BJP will sweep the election booth to a higher level.
The two-day camp was attended by BJP Vice President Vasundhara Raje, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and several other party leaders.
