Actor Rajkumar Rao will be part of UP Police’s campaign to make people aware of online shopping scams. A proposal to educate people about cybercrime was made during a conference of the Director General of Police and the Inspector General of Police.

In this sequence, the UP Police cracked down on Rajkumar Rao to make the campaign more effective in conveying the message of cyber security to the people. In the future, UP Police plans to involve more actors and athletes in its cybercrime awareness campaign,” a government statement read.

Police said 5,432 people have been arrested and ₹89.46 crore have been recovered from them in connection with cybercrime. The government said that cyber police stations have been set up in 18 districts in the state. A total of 91 posts of inspectors, 93 sub-inspectors, 51 chief constables and 176 policemen have been set up to deal with cybercrime. He added that for effective supervision, 17 DSP, 4 ASP, 2 SP and 1 IG have been approved for cyber stations.
