The countdown is on, and the release date for Madden 24 is approaching. The popular video game series will release its latest installment on August 18, 2023. It will be available on your favorite game consoles, such as PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Before the game is released, let’s take a look at the quarterbacks with the highest expected ratings. Remember, it’s not easy to succeed in American football without a star quarterback at center.

Top 5 expected QB ratings on Madden 24
Here’s a rundown of Madden NFL 24’s top five expected callers. We’ll go from five to one:
#5 Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Madden’s expected rating is 24 – 95
Since joining the league, Justin Herbert has been one of the most consistent punt callers around.
Herbert made the Chargers regular postseason contenders, thanks to his pocketing ability and ease in finding pass catchers. Herbert received a rating of 88 in Madden 23. However, he has improved significantly since then.
Since the fall of Madden 23, Herbert has made his first Pro Bowl, led the Chargers to the NFL Playoffs and made the Chargers a force to be reckoned with. We assume Team Madden bumped him by 7 points to join the 95+ squad.
#4 Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
Madden’s expected rating is 24 – 95
Lamar Jackson is the best dual-threat quarterback in the National Football League.
The Ravens legend is the only active NFL player to receive a unanimous MVP award now that Tom Brady has retired. Jackson received a rating of 91 at Madden 23, with the shot caller rewarded for his versatility and pocketing ability.
Jackson could join the 95+ team at Madden 24, where a quarterback in a game can’t pile on floor space like he does. Moreover, he was recommended by the Ravens to the postseason in 2022 after the team’s front office failed to surround him with elite receiving talent.
This is no longer a factor, as the Ravens have added Odell Beckham Jr and Zay Flowers via free agency and the NFL Draft, respectively. Using crows in Madden 24 would be a lot of fun.
#3 Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Madden’s projected rating is 24 – 96
From one elite dual-threat QB to the other, let’s take a look at the always-improving Josh Allen.
Allen was arguably the NFL’s third-best QB, behind Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. The Buffalo Bills shooting caller had an excellent regular season but faltered in the postseason (as always). However, more is needed to deny Allen a place in the top three on our list.
Allen should jump from his 93-rated quarterback at the end of the Madden 23 rating cycle. Buffalo Bills fans are hoping Allen plays like the 96-rated quarterback in the 2023 NFL season.
#2 Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Madden’s expected rating is 24 – 98
Everyone knows about LSU Tigers legend Joey Cool. We mean, your annoying neighbor who knows nothing about the NFL probably knows about the legendary Cincinnati Bengals shot caller.
Joe Burrow is as efficient as he gets, and the Bengals QB deserves to be at the top of the roster of elite QBs at Madden NFL 24.
Burrow made his first Pro Bowl in 2022. He nearly dragged the Bengals to back-to-back Super Bowls and built a Siamese connection with Ja’Marr Chase.
He’ll probably at least jump to 98 in Madden 24, because he’s a natural. It remains to be seen what Madden ranks Burrow as in the latest iteration of the video game.
#1 Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
Madden’s expected rating is 24 – 99
Patrick Mahomes ran away with the Player of the Year award last season and it looks like he has another decade of dominance ahead of him. Naturally, he should be in the first position on this list.
Mahomes is ranked 99th in Madden 23 and will definitely hold his rating again.
Notable: Jalen Hurts and Aaron Rodgers; We expect QBs to be rated at 94 or thereabouts in Madden NFL 24.
