When Nichols asked Cuban if he had a gift ready for an All-Star player, he said:

When asked if he proposed as Luca, Cobain said:

“Hell, no. I was like, ‘Let’s go to Whataburger.'” “

The players’ love for Kyrie Irving made Mark Cuban know him better

Kyrie Irving has had an incredible journey around the NBA since winning a title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. Since then, he has played for different teams and has had off-court issues that have landed him in trouble. Mark Cuban and the Mavs surprised the league when they replaced him in February to give Doncic some much-needed help.

According to Cuban, Irving saw a love interest after he became acquainted with the NBA star. The team owner also said that Kyrie’s relationship with the other players made him understand the type of person who was an eight-time All-Star.

“Kerry just loves basketball and loves going to the games. I wasn’t worried about that,” Cuban said. “But we traded him because we wanted (him) to be a long-term piece.

“I think Kerry is just misunderstood. Everyone sees all the noise and everything around him. But when you actually talk to him… I love him, he’s outgoing, he’s smart, he’s always looking to learn things, and to me, he’s the hot guy who Misunderstood.

“When he came to us after the deal, it was unavoidable. After every game, there were several players who would come up and hug him. Not just giving him a chance to play, but like a real honest-to-goodness, ‘hug like you.’ And when you talk to the guys about it, they’ll say the same thing. And when I spoke to our players after he got there, same thing.”

Mark Cuban says that before trading for Kyrie Irving, he didn’t realize how much players around the league loved KI. He says many Mavs players will give him a hug after every game. He also said that he and Jason Kidd made an effort to get to know Kerry. https://t.co/36h3IXK2x0
