Temptation Island Season 5 Episode 5 aired on USA Network on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. During the segment, cast members were introduced to the “temptation light,” which would inform them if and when their partners succumbed to temptation.
However, one cast member’s anxiety level began to rise in the presence of the light itself. Vanessa Valente was visibly upset when Mark brought the light into the girls’ villa and told him that she would spend the entire night in front of the light and would think it was Roberto, every time it turned on.
She later breaks down when the light actually turns on and he opens up about her feelings of vulnerability and anxiety to Michael. Fans took to social media to slam the cast member for her behavior, calling her a total mess. They further point out that her boyfriend, Roberto, should be running.
Temptation Island Season 5 will return next week with a brand new episode on Wednesdays at 9 PM ET on USA Networks.
Fans react to Vanessa’s meltdown during Temptation Island Season 5 Episode 5
In the last episode of Temptation Island In Season 5, Mark Wahlberg introduced the cast to Temptation Light. The purpose of the trial light was to let the task force members know when their partners had succumbed to temptation. However, no information was provided about who it was and what they did.
The mere presence of the light alone made Vanessa anxious. As Mark shows how it works, I tell him it’s “painful” not knowing what a lure is. She also told the cameras that she can’t stop thinking about getting hurt again, and that will only increase her inability to be vulnerable and allow her to be on guard.
She added that she was preparing and waiting for the pain to hit her and said it was not a good feeling. Later in the episode, while Villa Girls Temptation Island Season 5 was enjoying a casino night, and the light turned on, causing Vanessa Valente to completely melt down in front of Michael Zappa.
She told the cast member that she didn’t want to be consumed by worry and anxiety and didn’t want to fool herself into thinking Roberto would do it right. While Michael encourages her not to let the light ruin her experience Temptation Island In Season 5, he tells her to use the lessons to help her grow.
“You’ll come out at the end of this. There’s going to be something different. Make it better.”
The episode further saw the cast attend the second solo fire of the season, during which Roberto was shown a video of Vanessa twerking, though he remained unfazed. The cast member had previously explained that the more time he and his girlfriend spend apart, the more he realizes that they are not a good match.
He added that the more he lets her go, the happier he becomes. Although Mark admires his strength, he adds that he could be “exactly the guy Vanessa needs”.
Watching Vanessa go over the top in the presence of Temptation Light and her general demeanor in the episode did not please audiences. They called her toxic and implied that Roberto needed to let her go.
