Anatoly Malykhin has been bouncing in and out of the ONE Championship circuit ever since he officially became the King of Two Sports.
And this healthy streak of victories made the Russian tank even more eager to compete and show why it is the most powerful heavyweight and light heavyweight in the world.
With three world class victories over the past 16 months, the mega martial artist is looking for another challenger he believes can stop him.
One fighter who has long declared he can do just that is Iranian giant Amir Ali Akbari, who made his comeback against Dustin Joynson at ONE Fight Night 12 this Friday, July 14.
The wrestling specialist is eager to bring it back against Sladkiy, and his post-fight interviews prove he only wants to face Anatoly Malykhin next.
The ONE heavyweight and light heavyweight king doesn’t think Aliakbari has done enough to earn a rematch.
But if he can’t make his move up to middleweight in a bid to become the organization’s first three-division king, Sladky admitted he’d easily pick it up with his old foe.
In an interview with ONE Championship, the 35-year-old said:
I’m ready to fight him in September and October. If (Reynier) de Ridder is not ready, then in September-October I am ready to crush him in that ring.
Truthfully, Anatoly Malykhin should have no problems crushing Iranians. He basically did that when they met at ONE: Revolution in September 2021.
Find out who will be victorious in this important heavyweight competition in… One night fight 12 On July 14th. North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can watch all the action live and for free.
