- Prime Minister Modi recalls joining the French Alliance in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, nearly 40 years ago. “The person who got the first membership in that cultural center is now addressing all of you,” he said.
- In a major boost to India’s UPI payment system, India and France have agreed to implement UPI in France. Prime Minister Modi referred to the announcement and said, “In the coming days, Indian tourists can pay in Indian rupees at the Eiffel Tower.”
- “Today, as we launch satellites to each other, I am happy to share with you that as I speak to you, the countdown to Chandrayaan in India has begun,” Prime Minister Modi while addressing the Indian community.
- I ask the Indian diaspora to invest in India. India is the first country to come into action when Indians are in trouble. A 5-year long-term visa will be provided to Indian students studying Masters in France. “A new Indian consulate will open in France,” Prime Minister Modi said.
