Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday approved the advance issuance of Rs 180 crore as a central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to flood-hit Himachal Pradesh for relief measures to the affected people.
An official statement said, “The Home Secretary has approved the advance issuance of the second installment of the SDRF Central Lot, amounting to Rs. 180.40 crore for the year 2023-24, as temporary relief for Himachal Pradesh.”
“To support the affected people in Himachal Pradesh, the central government released the first batch of the central share of Rs 180.40 crore from the fund on July 10 for immediate relief measures in nature. To deal with the situation caused by floods, floods, floods and landslides, the central government has provided all necessary logistical and financial assistance to the government of Himachal Pradesh to deal with the situation efficiently.”
“In total, 11 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been deployed for rescue operations,” it added.
