Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended an invitation to Paris on Friday after a successful visit that heralded a new chapter in India-France relations. He began the next stage of his visit to Abu Dhabi after an “unforgettable” two-day visit, during which the two countries laid out a vision for the next stage of their strategic partnership.

Over the course of the two days, the Prime Minister held meetings with various stakeholders in France in which the two sides took stock of the transformation and expansion of their strategic relationship ties, over the past 25 years, in every field of bilateral cooperation.
The talks between Prime Minister Modi and Macron covered various areas of cooperation, including defence, clean energy, innovation and cultural exchange. And with the adoption of the “Horizon 2047 Roadmap,” the two countries have outlined a shared vision for the future, with the goal of building on their strong relationship and fostering a better world together.
“Our political and diplomatic ties are among the closest and most trusted. Our partnership in defense and security is strong and extends from the sea floor to space. Our economic ties enhance our prosperity and sovereignty and strengthen resilient supply chains,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“Talks with my friend, President Emmanuel Macron were very productive. We reviewed the full scope of relations between India and France. I am especially excited about deepening cooperation in future sectors like green hydrogen, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and more,” PM Modi tweeted.

The two leaders agreed that promoting clean and low-carbon energy, preserving biodiversity, protecting oceans and combating pollution is a key pillar of cooperation and that digital partnership, innovation and startup is a new area of growth that builds on the deep convergence and strong integration between our two countries.
“Deepening our ties in education, science, technology, culture, thriving youth exchanges, and an accomplished and growing diaspora brings the relationship closer to people and sows the seeds for future partnerships,” the statement added.
The two leaders added that the next 25 years is a defining moment for both countries and for their partnership – to build a better future.
“In order to outline their shared vision for this next phase of the India-France Strategic Partnership, both leaders have adopted the ‘Horizon 2047 Roadmap on the 25th Anniversary of the Indo-French Strategic Partnership: Towards a Century of Franco-Indian Relations’ along with several other outcomes covering a broad spectrum. of domains.”
