Denmark pledges $250 million in military aid to Ukraine

Copenhagen: Denmark On Tuesday, it announced it would send 1.7 billion kroner ($250 million) worth of money. Military aid to Ukraine “To support the next Ukrainian offensive,” said the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The Danish Ministry of Defense said in a statement that the donation package included mine-clearing vehicles, ammunition and financial support for the purchase of air defense.
“The equipment in the donation package is needed to clear the way for Ukrainian tanks and mechanized infantry on the front line,” the statement quoted Acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen as saying.
“The new military donation package is our largest yet, bringing the total Danish support to around 11 billion kroner,” said Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
In January, Denmark pledged to supply Ukraine with 19 French-made Kaiser howitzers, including some on order, and in April announced that it was buying – together with the Netherlands – 14 Leopard 2 tanks to provide to Ukraine.
