Naraka Bladepoint launched as a free-to-play battle royale on July 13, and new players are excited to see what the game has to offer. It has an interesting twist on the Battle Royale genre, as it includes a melee combat style similar to most fighting games. In its main gameplay, players still compete in a shrinking map to secure victory. However, the fights are more intense with Naraka’s diverse hero selection.

Released in 2021, Bladepoint introduced other game modes beyond the original battle royale. These options provide players with different options that cater to their unique playstyle preferences. For the 1v1 fans, you will be happy to know that Naraka Bladepoint supports this gameplay with its Bloodsport game mode.

Currently, there are four modes available in the game – Herald’s Trial, Bloodbath, Bloodsport and the new Capture the Spirit Well. These game modes differ in gameplay and player abilities. If you want to join 1v1 battles, you must do so using Bloodsport mode.

Just a few months after its release, Naraka Bladepoint introduced Bloodsport mode during a Koi Bonanza event. It is an homage to the 1988 martial arts movie by introducing a battle style where players fight to the death in melee combat. In this mode, 16 participants must defeat their opponents in a 1v1 showdown to advance in the tournament.

In this game mode, you must eliminate your enemy within 75 seconds using melee attacks and abilities. Your ultimate abilities are disabled, and melee resistance is increased. These mechanics make it an effective arena where combat skills are truly put to the test.

It is a 1v1 tournament that is bracket based with best-of-one for the preliminary rounds and best-of-three for the final rounds. You can choose a weapon and a character before each preliminary round and can’t reuse themselves until the last round.

In the best of the three stages, the person who has done the most damage is declared the winner in the event of a tie. This means that none of the players are defeated during combat. In the event of a bonus tie, the player with the most health and armor is declared the winner, indicating that self-defense should be just as important to the player’s strategy as successful attacks.

Many Naraka Bladepoint players have been captivated by Bloodsport because it is where the close combat mechanics really shine. Although the Tekken style battle royale mode is interesting and new, the action-packed 1v1 combat offered by Bloodsport is unparalleled.

It is a good alternative to the game default mode. Apart from that, it will allow you to hone your skills to get a large group of heroes. Despite the popularity of the game mode, Bloodsport still has a lot of issues to fix and aspects to improve.

Launched as a paid multiplayer game, Naraka Bladepoint is now available as a free-to-play battle royale game on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
