Datia Jangreb: As per FIR, the accused kidnapped two sisters from Datia district and took them to a house where they raped the older sister

Three people, including the minor son of a BJP employee, have been taken into custody for allegedly kidnapping and raping a 19-year-old girl in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh state.

Of the four accused, one adult has been arrested and the other two are minors who have been taken into custody, said Yadvindra Singh Gujrar, an official at Unaf Police Station. The search for the fourth accused is underway.

He added that a reward of Rs 10,000 has been announced for anyone who helps the police find the fugitive accused.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed on the complaint of the victim’s younger sister after the incident, which occurred on Friday afternoon.

According to Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma, the complainant said that she and her elder sister were kidnapped by four people. The accused took them to a house where they raped her older sister.”

He also said that according to the FIR, the complainant was also sexually assaulted by the accused.

Police had earlier said that the 19-year-old girl tried to end her life after the accident and was later taken to a hospital in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

After the accident, a group of people gathered outside the police station, after which a case was registered by the police.

The prosecutor said the accused had been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 376 D (gangrape), 354 (assault or criminal force of a woman with intent to offend her modesty), 342 (unlawful confinement) and Child Sexual Offenses Act protection sections (POCSO).

Meanwhile, BJP district chief Surendra Podolia said the police has not yet registered the victim’s statement and if the statement mentions the name of the BJP leader’s underage son, the party will send him a notice. He added that the party would take further action if necessary.

If the victim takes the name of the BJP office holder’s son in her statement to the police, the party will serve a notice to him (a local employee). Podolia said the party would then take further action.
