Roman Reigns is in the middle of one of the greatest championships in WWE history, even though he didn’t defend the WWE Undisputed World Championship for long periods in between. In the past few weeks though, Roman Reigns hasn’t had the best of times, as The Usos betrayed him and The Bloodline broke up.
For now, with Solo Sikoa, there is still some semblance of the original faction, but even that could be in jeopardy with the return of Bobby Lashley.
Last week on WWE SmackDown, the show saw the return of one of the most beloved characters in the company. Lashley got out of his car and welcomed the “street earnings” project. It seems to indicate that there will be some kind of interstellar alliance.
Given the babyface nature of each of the stars involved, this could mean trouble for Roman Reigns. Lashley is a character who can be instantly inserted into the main event sequence without anyone noticing him.
And now, with The Street Profits as his allies, Lashley will actually have a numbers advantage over Roman Reigns, something no other star can claim to have in some time, thanks to The Bloodline.
Reigns’ title reign is now in danger, and he probably doesn’t even realize it. With Jey Uso chasing him in summerslam And perhaps his next opponent is ready in Lashley, things won’t get any easier for The Tribal Chief. In fact, it could mean that his time as champion is finally over.
If he goes after Roman Reigns, it looks like Bobby Lashley has given up on a former faction
If he pursues Reigns, it’s clear Lashley will need allies, as does his interaction with The Street Profits.
However, when it came to factions, he seemed to have abandoned a previous faction. There was no mention of The Hurt Business. It appears that MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin no longer have connections with Lashley. A group reunion was teased in January of this year, but it never happened.
It remains to be seen whether WWE Close to that alliance again and whether or not fans will now see a new faction dominating the blue brand landscape.
