While The Last of Us Part 1’s launch was tumultuous on PC, Naughty Dogs committed to fixing the serious technical issues that plagued the title. The developers promised to turn the PC port’s fortunes around, and subsequent patches and updates have done the same. Patch 1.1.1 continues the tradition.
The latest update brings a slew of crash fixes, including a fix for an event when players would restart after they died in a permanent sprint. Two Picture Mode issues were also addressed.
Patch 1.1.1 introduces fixes for Left Behind Standalone, accessibility entries, Steam Deck button controlling issues, and AMD checkerboard modes.

- Fixed a crash that could occur when restarting Death Race after dying
- Fixed a crash that could occur when quickly switching between available skins
- Fixed an issue where reflections would not appear in the rear-view mirrors of cars when real-time reflections were disabled (Options > Graphics > Real-time reflection quality)
- Repair of missing rock textures and rock walls in several areas
- Fixed issues where players could see outside the game world in some locations
- Fixed fast animation when zooming without a gun

- Several in-game, menu, and text-to-speech localization bugs have been fixed
- Fixed an issue where the screen resolution was not set correctly when using the ‘reset to default’ command (Options > Display > Reset to default settings)
- Fixed crossbow UI icon overlapping with arrow count when the melee weapon is also equipped in The Last of Us Part 1
- The Upload% user interface (UI) has been updated so that upload progress is more evenly tracked
- Fixed an issue that could cause the graphic settings preview to not appear
- Fixed several issues with the camera that could occur when the game was running at high frame rates
- (photo mode) Fixed an issue preventing full selection of presets when using Gaze Direction
- (photo mode) Fixed an issue where the arrow icons could not be interacted with when using the mouse to change the color of the windows in The Last of Us Part 1
- (form viewer) Fixed an issue causing multiple models to be highlighted at once
- (outskirts of the city) Fix the appearance of water when image-based lighting is disabled (Options > Graphics > Image-based lighting)
- (Tommy Dam) Fixed a crash that could occur in a scene during extended gameplay sessions
- (the university) Modify the visual appearance of the fog
- (bus depot) Fixed a camera issue that also caused a crash when crossing the bus while the game was running at high frame rates in The Last of Us Part 1
