It’s World War II on and off the screen, a dance showdown with a funny twist. Actors Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up with an influencer to promote their latest romantic drama, Bawaal.
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, features Varun playing a history teacher, who takes Janhvi’s character on a trip to Europe to visit World War II sites. The cast teamed up with influencer Dharna Durga and made a funny dance video.
In the video, which Varun captioned, “Chik chik zig zig” on Instagram, Dharna is seen teaching the actress – in her style for which she is known – some hilarious dance moves, which he is seen genuinely trying to follow.
Later, the duo is joined by Janhvi, who also tries the funny moves, as the influencer remains hard at work performing wacky dance moves, on the film’s songs like “Dilon Ki Doriyan” and “Tumhe Kitna Pyaar Karte”, with gibberish lyrics in between.
When Varun posted the reel on Tuesday, Jhanvi commented, “Go to sleep.” Actor Nakul Mehta posted a laughing emoji while Neha Kakkar wrote, “Bhatak Batak! 🤣👌🏼”
Bawaal is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video on July 21. This will be Varun’s first direct-to-OTT film this year, after two back-to-back premieres last year with family comedy-drama Jugjugg Jeeyo and creature comedy Bhediya, and it’s set to have a sequel.
