A massive fire broke out in West Bengal’s Howrah district early Friday morning, PTI news agency reported. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
Several wholesale and retail clothing stores in Mangala Hat were burned down by the fire. According to the police, the amount of damage is expected to be several thousand rupees.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
“There are currently 18 firefighting tenders on site. There have been no injuries so far. The news agency ANI quoted Ranjan Kumar Ghosh, a firefighting officer in Howrah, as saying that the operation is underway and the fire will be extinguished soon.
