Moscow: a Russian war works as a correspondent for the state-run RIA Novosti news agency, Rostislav Zhuravlevkilled in Ukrainian strike in the south Zaporizhia area on Saturday, the military announced.

The agency also reported his death, saying he was killed near the front-line village of Peticatki.
“As a result of the bombing of the Ukrainian army using cluster munitions, four journalists were injured to varying degrees of severity,” the Russian military said in a statement.

“During the evacuation, RIA Novosti journalist Rostislav Zhuravlev died of injuries sustained by a cluster munition explosion.”
She added that the other reporters’ injuries were “moderately serious”.
The influence of the Russian war correspondents increased dramatically during Moscow’s 17-month-long offensive in Ukraine.
