Paris Saint-Germain avoided a distraction from the noise surrounding Lionel Messi with a 3-1 victory over Troyes. Christophe Galettier’s side collected all three points against Troyes as goals from Kylian Mbappe, Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz propelled them to the brink of the Ligue 1 title.
Lionel Messi has been suspended by the club after missing training on Monday while on a promotional trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Argentine posted a short video on Instagram to ask for forgiveness and turn the controversy into a misunderstanding on dates.

Kylian Mbappe scored in the eighth minute, and Vitinha made it 2-0 just before the hour mark. Xavier Chavalerin pulled one back for Troyes in the 83rd minute, but Ruiz restored PSG’s two-goal lead three minutes later.
De Gea stumbles again
David De Gea’s mistake in Manchester United’s 1-0 loss to West Ham eased his side’s grip on final Champions League qualification on Sunday.

United are now just one point ahead of a fast-moving Liverpool, albeit with a game in hand, but an eighth loss on the road this season could prove as costly for the visitors as it was for West Ham.
The Hammers are seven points above the relegation zone and are now certainly safe with two matches to go against AZ Alkmaar in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.
Osimhen scores again
Napoli secured a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina in Serie A on Sunday after league top scorer Victor Osimhen scored from the penalty spot at Diego Armando Maradona’s stadium.
It was the 47th Serie A goal for the 24-year-old, overtaking George Weah as the all-time African goalscorer in the league.
Napoli clinched its first league title in 33 years, Thursday, after its 1-1 draw with Udinese, which set it apart from its rivals for the league title.
Osimhen could have put Napoli ahead with a penalty three minutes into the second half, but Terraciano saved his weak shot after the penalty was awarded for Sofiane Amrabat’s foul on Stanislav Lobotka.
Osimhen came close to contributing to the crowd’s party after 15 minutes when Terraciano fired well but the ball hit the crossbar and bounced wide.
The Nigerian striker redeemed himself when winger Khafesha Kvaratskhelia won another penalty for Napoli in the 74th minute and Osimhen did not miss a penalty this time.
