The ‘Great Indian Kitchen Carnival 2023’ in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu recently attracted a diverse crowd, showcasing more than 130 mouth-watering dishes from 28 states. Hosted by a private college, the food festival offered a unique experience for just 300 rupees per person.
Not only did the event offer an impressive array of regional cuisine, but it also included a fashion show and cultural programs to entertain the attendees on May 7th.
Ajeeth Kumar Lal Mohan, Secretary of the College, announced that this is the 10th iteration of the Kitchen Carnival, which is being organized entirely by students of the Department of Hotel Management and Restaurant Sciences of AJK College of Arts and Sciences.
The food festival welcomed nearly 3,000 visitors, who enjoyed an array of dishes from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Malabar Coast, Telangana, Hyderabad, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and West Bengal. Mini greens, mocktails, salads, main dishes, and desserts were among the extensive offerings.
Attendees like Gowtham, who is based in Coimbatore, and Pooja from Kerala, expressed their excitement at the opportunity to sample cuisines from different states at one place. They also appreciated the cultural programs and fashion shows, which featured outfits from all 28 states, tying the event together and providing an unforgettable experience.
