Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi was hit in the head by objects thrown from the stands by West Ham fans during the first half of the Europa League final, leaving him bleeding from a cut on his scalp.
The match was briefly postponed after Biraghi was hit by empty beer mugs and other objects when he was about to take a corner. He needed to bandage his head to stop the bleeding, while a stadium announcer urged fans to stop throwing things on Wednesday.
