Preet Vikal, an engineering student, came across the woman while out on a night out with friends in Cardiff city centre. “The victim was very drunk and by the end of the night it was clear he was hopelessly intoxicated. I walked out of the club and confronted Preet Vikal. The two got into conversation and walked away from their group.”

“He took advantage of a drunk and vulnerable young woman who had become separated from her friends,” said Detective Constable Nick Woodland.
