After tying the knots with five different women, a man from Chamli district in Uttar Pradesh has now allegedly kidnapped another woman to marry her.

Rashid allegedly converted the 19-year-old woman before marrying her. One of Rashid’s wives is Muslim and the others are Hindu.

The matter came to light after the 19-year-old disappeared from her uncle’s house four days ago. When she did not return home, her parents called the police to file a report.

After getting information about the police report, the defendants called them and allegedly threatened to take her other daughter as well.

After the incident took place, Hindu activists including Swami Yashveer Singh along with local Bajrang Dal activists demonstrated outside the police station and demanded strict action against the accused.

The woman is still with the accused, and local activists have submitted a note demanding that the girl recover before June 22 or else they will stage a protest in the village.

Activists said during the protests that the accused has five wives and that out of the five wives, only one is Muslim and the other four are Hindus.

Accused Rashid has several cases registered in his name at Chabroli Police Station.

On the other hand, the police spokesperson said that the FIR has been filed and the matter is under investigation.
