Aside from retaining his world heavyweight title, Indian-Canadian fighter Arjan Bhullar also wants to deal Russian juggernaut Anatoly Malekhin his first defeat in mixed martial arts.
‘Singh’ Bhullar fights interim world champion Malykhin in a much-anticipated unification bout on June 23 at ONE Friday Fights 22 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
In an interview with South China Morning PostThe American Kickboxing Academy star said spoiling ‘Sladkiy”s flawless record to date is among his goals and he has kept him focused during training.
Arjan Bhullar said:
“At the end of the day, he’s undefeated, and he holds everyone up. You have to respect that. And that allowed me to stay focused, and stay very driven in my camp and in my preparations for it.”

Anatoly Malykhin has a professional MMA record to date of 12-0, including four ONE Championship wins since joining the promotion in 2021.
All of his ONE victories have come by way of ends, most recently in December over Reynier De Ridder of the Netherlands via first round knockout to capture the Light Heavyweight title.
Arjan Bhullar, too, is undefeated in two matches under one championship. He defeated Mauro Cirelli in his debut in October 2019 by decision. In his next fight in May 2021, he became the World Heavyweight Champion by a second-round technical knockout of former Filipino-American titleholder Brandon Vera.
ONE Friday Fights 22 will mark his return to action after another long break.
