Narendra Modi in the US: Elon Musk, after meeting Prime Minister Modi in New York, said he was looking forward to investing in India and also announced his trip to India next year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Tesla CEO Elon Musk in New York and said he had “multifaceted conversations on issues ranging from energy to spirituality”.

After the meeting, Elon Musk described his conversation with Prime Minister Modi as excellent and said he plans to visit India next year.

“It was an excellent, very good conversation. “I plan to visit India next year,” Musk said.

In a separate tweet after the meeting, Elon Musk said, “It was an honor to meet again.” He also emphasized that India has more promise than any other big country and he is very excited about its future.

The Tesla CEO also said he was looking forward to investing in India “as fast as humanly possible”.

“I am confident that Tesla will be in India and will do so as soon as humanly possible,” Musk said in response to a question from reporters about Tesla’s plan to invest in India, adding that he plans to visit the country next year.

“I would like to thank the prime minister for his support and I hope we will be able to announce something in the not too distant future,” he added.

In a separate video statement, Musk also paid tribute to Modi, saying he “truly cares about India because he’s been chasing us to make big investments in India,” and said, “I’m a fan of Modi.”

India has more promise than any large country in the world. He (Modi) really cares about India because he’s pushing us to make big investments in India, which is something we intend to do. “We’re just trying to figure out the timing,” Musk said.

Prime Minister Modi met a host of dignitaries including author, economist, investor and other thought leaders upon his arrival in New York on Tuesday. Notable people Modi has met include author Nicholas Naseem Taleb, Valu Shah, Jeff Smith, Michael Froman, Daniel Russell, Elbridge Colby, Peter Agree, Stephen Glasgow and Chandrika Tandon.

PM Modi will also lead the Indoor Yoga Day ceremonies at the United Nations Headquarters before leaving for Washington, DC.

Prime Minister Modi has a busy schedule in the US as he is scheduled to attend state dinners, bilateral talks with Joe Biden and address the US Congress.
