Chief Minister Ashok Jehlot has approved a proposal to offer a 50% concession in fares to female passengers on road bus classes in Rajasthan within state borders, a spokesperson said.
The Rajasthan government on Thursday announced a 50 per cent concession in fares for female passengers across road bus classes in Rajasthan.
So far, the franchise has been limited to regular (Blue Line) buses.
A spokesperson said Chief Minister Ashok Jehlot has approved a proposal to offer a 50% fare concession to female passengers on road bus classes in Rajasthan within state boundaries.
Gehlot announced in the 2023-24 budget that the wage concession for women passengers on regular road buses will increase from 30 to 50%. This was implemented on April 1.
At the inauguration of the Cindy Camp bus station here on May 25, the Chief Minister announced that the concession would also be extended to Rajasthan Road buses.
