World heavyweight champion Arjan Bahular will return to action this week after more than two years.

The Indian-Canadian fighter will defend his title at ONE Friday Fights 22 on June 23 in Bangkok against Interim World Heavyweight Champion Anatoly Malykhin in a long-awaited unification bout.

Arjan Bhullar became world champion in May 2021, snatching the title from former division king and retired Filipino-American Brandon Vera via second-round technical knockout (punches).

Singh was clinical in claiming the title. He held steady on Vera for most of the opening round before picking things up in the second. He offended The Truth with two hard punches late in the round before going into the takedown, eventually going to the finish line raining punches on Vera before the referee waved the fight off at the 4:27 mark.

To remind fight fans of Arjan Bhullar’s impressive win before returning to the action, ONE Championship recently uploaded a video of the fight to its official YouTube channel.

While he has been away from competing for some time, Arjan Bhullar says he is ready to defend his world title, having trained with his team during his long layoff.

Anatoly Malykhin, who is currently one of the famous fighters in 1 tournament. He’s won all four of his fights so far in the promotion, and in his last two he’s won world titles.

A win at ONE Friday Fights 22 would make him a legitimate two-division world champion as he also holds the light heavyweight title.

ONE Friday Fights 22 will be streamed for free on the ONE Championship YouTube channel.
