The Gurugram City Development Authority (GMDA) on Friday asked the municipal authority to expedite the construction of underground reservoirs in Hans Enclave, Sarai Village and New Palam Vihar to ensure that water is provided only through booster stations and not directly by the GMDA.
GMDA also said it has officers at Sirhole Tigra and D-Block South City 2 to commission the booster stations.
PC Meena, CEO of GMDA, said every water supply connection to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) should be measured to determine the amount of water being saved and consumed to reduce non-revenue water use.
During the meeting, the matter of the Smart Parking Project in Sector 44 was taken up by the GMDA and discussed with Haryana Shahari Director Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).
Mina explained that a revenue sharing model proposal between GMDA and HSVP may be considered and HSVP may retain ownership rights. He also directed MCG officials to explore the feasibility of smart on-street parking in crowded market areas that fall under MCG’s jurisdiction.
Dakshin Haryana Bigli Vetran Nigam (DHBVN) officials stated that work on diverting LV lines and poles from the alignment of the dividing roads of Sector 81/86 Part A & B, 90/93, 92/95 and 95 Outer K as well as relocation of the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam tower Limited from the alignment of Main Division Road for Sector 68/70 A as part of road safety measures, has been allocated to agencies, the GMDA said.
Meena has directed DHBVN to provide electrical connections at bus waiting shelters in Old Gurgaon area for public interest as BQS is a public utility. The DHBVN officers complied with the directives and provided that electrical connections would be made available at the BQS without further delay.
