Mason Greenwood drops massive hint about Manchester United future

Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood has laid out his mansion in Cheshire, according to The Sun. This has increased speculation that the striker could leave the club this summer.

Greenwood has not appeared for the Red Devils since January 2022, when he was arrested for attempted rape and assault. The CPS eventually dropped the charges against him in February 2023 due to ‘withdrawal of key witnesses’. However, an internal investigation by the club to determine his future is still ongoing.

Greenwood was reportedly seen on a public practice field with a private trainer on Thursday, June 22. The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Manchester United are in talks about sending the player on loan to Italy, Spain or Turkey.

The 21-year-old star is yet to feature under new coach Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman has made it clear that he is not involved in the decision-making process regarding the return of the player. Reportedly, the United women’s team are deeply uncomfortable with Greenwood’s possible return.

Mason Greenwood, a graduate of United’s youth system, has scored 35 goals in 132 appearances for the Red Devils.

Manchester United are preparing to enter the race for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana. According to 90 Minutes, the Red Devils are set to lose longtime club stalwart David De Gea and are therefore pressing for a move to the Cameroon international.

The Spaniard has been a mainstay at United since his arrival in 2011, making more than 400 appearances for the team. However, the report claims he is increasingly likely to leave the club, with no agreement to extend his contract. The player rejected offers from Saudi Arabia but is expected to leave Old Trafford at the end of the month.

Manchester United are active in contract talks for a goalkeeper, with Brentford’s David Raya and Porto’s Diogo Costa. Onana previously worked with manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax and a reunion is on the table. 90 min claims the club has entered into talks with the player’s representatives.

Chelsea had an interest in the 27-year-old goalkeeper but it was eventually held up at €60m.

United were also interested in Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli, but he is set to move to Tottenham after Spurs reached agreement on a €20m deal.
