Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns has a lot of time on his hands because he’s out for the season. Durant recently took his time to join the Twitter Spaces called “Kevin Durant Ain’t Top 5” and blasted the fans out there.
In a video shared by Bleacher Report on Twitter, Durant can be seen explaining why some fans don’t really know about the game. The two-time NBA champ laughed at how the players compare to each other based on the team’s success. He thought the simple question of whether a player was good or not was enough.
“I just think how badly you guys look at the game,” Durant said. “The success of the match, like you factor in the success of the team, when you talk about the players. I just think how you guys consume the game is just bullshit. Like, are you good or not? Some things could be that simple.

“Are you good or not? A lot of people have watched it for a long time and it’s okay. These lists really don’t mean anything. Why are you so upset?”
Kevin Durant was one of the most criticized players of his generation. Fans were upset because he left the OKC Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016. Obviously, Durant was Golden State’s MVP for their championship victories in 2017 and 2018.
However, people were more critical of Durant when Steph Curry and the Warriors won another title without him last year. KD attempted to do just that by playing alongside Kyrie Irving and James Harden for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, but he only won one playoff series.
The former MVP was traded to the Phoenix Suns in a huge deal in the middle of this season. He teamed with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and DeAndre Ayton, but still lost to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals.

Kevin Durant to be his new All-Star teammate next season
New Phoenix Suns owner Matt Ichpia isn’t messing with the championship window with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. The Suns traded Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, six second-round picks and four trades in 2024, 2026, 2028 and 2030 for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.
It was a bargain for the Suns because it didn’t cost them a first-round pick. It helped that Bell had a no-trade clause and just wanted to be traded to Phoenix. Bell forms a new super team with Durant, Booker and Da Andre Ayton, with Frank Vogel as their new head coach.
However, the Suns will need to make more roster moves to ensure they have depth next season. Their lack of depth against the Denver Nuggets was a big reason they didn’t make it past the Western Conference Semifinals.
