Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur on Saturday quipped Alliance of opposition parties He described it as a “coalition of thugs” that “has neither a leader nor a vision.”
Addressing the party’s rally in Panipat, Thakur criticized opposition political parties. Haryana President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Om Prakash Dhankar, also launched a fierce attack on the Indian National Congress. Besides next year’s Lok Sabha polls, Haryana is scheduled to hold Vidhan Sabha elections in October 2024.
Thakur urged the people of Haryana to ensure that the BJP again wins all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Elaborating on the achievements of the Bharatiya Janata Party led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past nine years, Thakur referred to several schemes launched by the Union government.
Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia also highlighted the many initiatives taken by the Union government to ensure the welfare of people from all walks of life across India, urging people to ensure the return of the BJP for the third consecutive time and Modi’s re-election as Prime Minister.
The BJP leaders also compared the tenure of the Congress with their own to show how they have performed and created unprecedented development across the country as compared to their predecessors.
Mocking from the opposition parties meeting in Patna, Thakur said, “Look at the state of the Congress party. Arvind Kejriwal tells Congress to leave Punjab and Delhi, Mamata Banerjee tells Congress to leave Bengal, Nish Kumar tells them to leave Bihar, Akhilesh Yadav tells them to leave Uttar Pradesh , Left parties are asking Congress to leave Kerala.. Congress party is now confined only to organizing chairs in stadiums.”
