Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly agreed to become the new head coach of Saudi giants Al-Hilal.

According to Momblano’s official Twitter (via @centergoals), a source close to Allegri said the Italian coach has agreed to join the leader. The Juventus boss is set to earn €120m over three years plus a €20m signing bonus.

Allegri’s future has been the subject of speculation, with the experienced coach said to have attracted an offer from Al-Hilal, according to Al-Rai Sport. It seems that the manager of the old lady has decided to accept the offer of the Saudi giants.

He is set to become the highest paid Italian coach of all time. He leaves the Juventus team that missed the Champions League next season. This is because they were hit with a ten-point deduction and finished seventh in the First Division.

Allegri has enjoyed tremendous success in Italian football with Juventus and AC Milan. He has won six Serie A titles, four Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups. It now looks like he’s ready to head to the Saudi Professional League to join Al-Hilal, who finished third last season. They have just finalized the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves for €55m, per ESPN.

Allegri will also meet Al-Nasr player Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, as they had previously worked together at Juventus. One fan hinted at this when responding to the news:

“Nah, the effect of CR7 is insane.”

Another fan highlighted that Allegri would become the highest paid coach in history:

“The highest paid coach of all time. LOL”.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Italians apparently agreeing to join the leader:

Ronaldo has shone in Saudi Arabia since his arrival in January, scoring 14 goals in 19 matches across various competitions. However, his record with Juventus is more impressive, and he has thrived under Allegri at the Allianz Stadium.

The Portuguese star scored 28 goals in 44 matches across competitions under the Italian tactic. He won the Italian league title in the 2018-2019 season while playing for the soon-to-be potential Al-Hilal coach.

Allegri was the one who said Ronaldo told him he would not play for the Old Lady again in 2021. He then returned to his former club Manchester United.
