The stream of water was so fast, that the locals stumbled several times before reaching the car and eventually saving the woman who was later taken to a nearby hospital.

Locals rescued a woman after her car was heavily swept into a torrential stream of a river in Panchkula, Haryana state on Sunday.

An alleged video of the incident shows a group of local men walking towards the car supported by a rope and rescuing it from it.

The stream of water was so fast that the locals stumbled several times before reaching the car. At one point, a man gets caught by a rope, but with great difficulty saves himself from the rising tide.

The woman who had come to pray at a temple in Kharak Mongolia had parked her car on the river bank.

News agency officials reported that the river’s water level suddenly rose, and the woman’s car was swept away in a flash flood while she was sitting in it. PTI He said.

The woman was subsequently taken to the hospital.

This comes after eight people got stuck in the Ghaggar River in Panchkula, and were rescued by a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
