Seventeen races have already been run in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season. Trackhouse Racing driver Ross Chastain became the 11th different winner in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series this season after winning the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday (July 2).
At the action packed Nashville race, Chastain clinched the lead for the last time with 34 laps to go and stayed ahead going into the final lap to cross the checkered flag in P1.
With Sunday’s win, the #1 Chevrolet driver earned 57 points and locked up a playoff ticket. He also moved from fourth to third in the Cup Series driver standings with 558 points, one win and six top-five finishes.
Chase Elliott, the event’s defending champion, failed to repeat his championships, finishing P4. Thus, he gained only 42 points and finished 25th in the points table with 289 points and four in the top five.

After finishing P2 at Nashville Superspeedway, Martin Truex Jr. took the lead. He scored 51 points and remained at the top of the points table with 576 points, two wins, and six top-five finishes.
