Nathan Schulte appeared to have secured a place in the PFL Lightweight Play-offs in PFL 6 with his fourth consecutive win. However, he and his opponent, Rausch Manifu, were stopped by the promotion due to what they considered a lackluster performance. Shal Sonnen recently praised the SPLM’s decision to suspend both fighters.
Talking to Ariel Halawani MMA watchThe former UFC middleweight and heavyweight title challenger said:
“The PFL have done some things recently that have been great, where you look at them and say, ‘God, good job guys.’ That’s one of them. When they made that decision, they went out and stood up to everything. They have a great PR guy,” he said when they released this. The decision is why they have the right to do so.”
Follow Sonnen:
“They said what was in the by-laws of the contract. That you agree at all times to put forward your best skills and aggression against all opponents. They showed what a breach was, which I think any reasonable person would agree to breach. So, no, I didn’t think the PF She was wrong.”

Natan Schulte asks Francis Nganu for help
Natan Schulte’s suspension cost him the chance to compete in the lightweight qualifiers with a chance at the million dollar prize. After announcing his suspension, Russo took to Twitter to call on Francis Nganuu for support, saying:
“I am very unhappy with the decision that the PFL made last night in favor of Shane Burgos entering the playoffs. You remember Francis Nganuu’s fight against Derrick Lewis he didn’t throw 6 punches in the whole fight and he wasn’t cut out for his performance that night. So I ask you Francis Nganuu Since you protect the rights of fighters, do you think this decision is correct?
