Five-time champions Australia will begin their journey to the 2023 World Cup with an impressive clash against India on October 8 in Chennai. The Australians are likely to outpace the Indians in this match as they beat the same opponent on the field in an ODI earlier this year.

The Australia games are spread across eight venues, with Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamsala, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Pune all hosting a match. Meanwhile, Lucknow will host 2 A-League matches in the 2023 World Cup where it will face South Africa and 2 qualifiers.

The trans-Tasman rivalry will resume in Dharamsala where Australia will face New Zealand. With conditions potentially conducive to bowling in a nice setting, this could be a cracking encounter. However, the high altitude may also come into play and we could hit a few sixes on the high-scoring ballpark.

The massive Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the match between Australia and defending champions England. They will conclude the league stage in Mumbai where they will face Afghanistan in Mumbai, followed by Bangladesh in Pune.

The Australians always seem to be busy at such big events and the 2023 World Cup could see them once again among the favourites.
