India’s national highway network, which covers an area of 1.45 thousand square kilometres, is now the second largest in the world after the United States, said Nitin Gadkari, India’s union minister for roads, and has increased by 59 percent in the last nine years of the Modi government. It is envisaged that waiting time will be completely eliminated by 2047, according to a document shared by the ministry. He also said that in the past nine years, 4-lane NH has almost doubled to 44,654 kilometers from 18,371 kilometers in 2013-14. Gadkari urged investors to consider investing in NHAI INviT, which offers an attractive interest rate of 8.05 percent, surpassing the rates of conventional banks.
